Binnenhof by night
Binnenhof, the centre of Dutch parliament. In the background you see the different buildings of the ministries that support the members of parliament in their daily business. The counts of Holland were the first to hold residence back in the 13th century in the castle that is the basis for this building complex.
Reflecting the Hague
Civil servants of the Dutch government have nice work places. Especially at night these work places stand out. In a peaceful and quiet park just a couple of hundred yards away the buildings reflect perflectly in the water.
The Hague - Binnenhof and Ridderzaal
The Ridderzaal (Hall of Knights) , seen on the left, is the main building of the Binnenhof. It originates from the 13th century and is used e.g. for opening of Parliament on Prinsjesdag
